so today yesterday was another one of those really memorable days of one of my most memorable and favorite summers ever. let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

soo, Mericar, Chelsea, Nelyn and I visited DHS for the first time as alumni yesterday morning. seriously, it was hellaaaa trippy being back on campus as alumni. first stop:  administration building. saw Isabelle in the office—i miss the daily bulletin—then headed to see Yolanda so the girls could get their official transcripts; i made a stop by Ms. Gregorson’s office to say hi.  we had to head to the office to get a visitor’s pass, and Ryan saw us and he walked in to say hi—i hella missed that foo, so it was really good seeing him [i miss sixth period lmao]. we couldn’t wait any longer for a pass, so we decided to head to Rodz’s office without it and surprise her. it’s been so long since we’ve all talked and seen each other, so it was really good seeing her. we chatted, exchanged stories and gossip, VENTED, explored our old territory…THEN headed to the friggin’ NEW CONCESSIONS. gahhh [check out my older post for a pic. it’s friggin’ huuuge…well, compared to our old concessions]. seriously, i’m jealous; WE were supposed to have that our year, but they halted construction. BOO. but anywayy…Rodz had to leave for a meeting, so we said our goodbyes, and we headed back to the counseling office and saw Barajas. after that, we headed off to Mr. G’s choir room and saw some really familiar faces and heard some familiar voices, lol. next stop was Watson’s; well, i stopped by Bsharah’s first—i hella miss his class. got to Watson’s—another teacher i hella miss—and saw his shaved head; interesting look for him, lol. saw a lot of familiar faces again there too [surprised Klair. HA.]. after that, Nelyn and I headed to Ms. Aloha’s room, and chilled and talked there for a while [thanks for the yogurt!].  Last stop at the school for me was McDowell’s; i hella miss his class too. chatted a bit, saw the 09 AP results [we did pretty good!] then headed to the district office, and home [to some REALLY good tritip].

fast forward to around 6ish, and me, Nelyn, Mericar, Chelsea, Debbie, EJ, Michael, Raymar, and Tasha headed to Geraldine’s for a BBQ and kickback. we had some bombass burgers [and hella grilled onions for me, lmfao] and hot dogs, and some hella good s’mores—but not before wasting some marshmallows on chubby bunny [video will be up shortly].  afterwards, we headed outside and basically chilled out in the front in the dark for the rest of the night. after about an hour or so of complete randomness, Geraldine brought out her banig and we laid out in the grass and watched shooting stars and played a bunch of songs from Mike’s iTouch [we played the song game too; lmfao at some of the results…]. around 1, we started to head home, and…well, now i’m here recounting my whole day. lmfao. fun times…

overall…today was a HELLA GOOD day. i got to see some familiar faces that i’ve really missed, talked to some people i haven’t seen or spoken to in a loooong while, reconnected with some teachers, dive into some nostalgia and have one more look at the school before i leave, and finally, got to chill with some good friends. it’s days like this that make me realize who i’ll miss the most, who my TRUE friends are, and that i’m truly blessed to have certain people in my life.

…and now that i think about it, today was one of the last times this summer that we all get to hang out—and i’m glad we did. Chelsea and Raymar leave this weekend, so this was a bittersweet send-off for the two of them…

today:  Katie’s birthday party! sweeeeet. get to see some more friends i haven’t seen in a while. yee.
